Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing, private equity-backed business to recruit an ambitious Financial Controller into their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful organisation that is experiencing significant growth across the UK and Europe. Reporting directly into the CFO, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the finance function, providing commercial insight, driving process improvements, and supporting the next phase of the company’s growth journey.

The RoleAs Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the financial management and reporting across the European operations, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and effective business partnering across the organisation.
You will lead a small finance and operations team while supporting strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities*Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
*Prepare and present monthly management accounts, board reports, and annual financial statements.
*Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
*Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities.
*Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities.
*Develop and maintain strong financial controls and governance frameworks.
*Partner with senior stakeholders to provide commercial and strategic insights.
*Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, processes, payroll, and invoicing functions.
*Lead and develop members of the finance and operations team.
*Manage external audit processes and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
*Monitor financial performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions where required.
*Support business growth initiatives, acquisitions, and strategic projects as required.
*Provide regular financial updates and performance analysis to the CFO and wider leadership team.
We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, growing environment.
Key skills*Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
*Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge - European entity experience is desirable
*Proven experience managing and developing finance teams.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
*A proactive approach with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
