Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

The Opportunity
We are currently looking for an Accounts Assistant to join a busy and established automotive business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous accounts experience, ideally within the motor trade, who is looking to build their career within a busy dealership environment.
You’ll be supporting the day-to-day finance operation, working closely with the wider team to ensure accounts are kept accurate, payments are processed on time and financial records are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
*Complete daily banking and bank reconciliations
*Process purchase and sales ledger transactions
*Process invoices and ensure accounts are kept up to date
*Assist with credit control and chase outstanding payments
*Prepare payment runs
*Complete monthly petty cash reconciliations
*Assist with general dealership accounting duties
*Support the wider finance team with day-to-day tasks
*Ensure all financial records are accurate and maintained correctly
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
*Experienced in an accounts/finance role, ideally within the automotive or motor trade
*Comfortable working with ledgers, invoices and reconciliations
*Numerate with excellent attention to detail
*Confident using Microsoft Excel
*Familiar with accounting systems/software
*Organised and able to manage their own workload
*A strong communicator who works well as part of a team
*Reliable, professional and keen to develop their career within the automotive industry
Motor trade experience would be highly desirable, although candidates with relevant accounts experience from another industry will also be considered.
