Location: Near Preston, Lancashire. Hybrid, mix of home and office


An established and growing chartered surveyors and planning consultancy near Preston is looking to appoint a experienced Town Planner to join and help drive its planning team. The practice acts for a broad client base, from private individuals to national companies, and has built a strong reputation across the Northwest for the quality of its advice.
This is a role with real autonomy and a varied caseload, in a firm known as a friendly, supportive place with a genuine focus on work life balance and developing its people.
The role
*Manage your own caseload of planning applications from submission through to determination
*Advise clients on development potential, planning risk and strategy
*Prepare and oversee planning statements, appeals and supporting documents
*Lead on site appraisals and represent clients with local planning authorities
*Support and mentor junior members of the planning team
What we’re looking for
*MRTPI chartered, with an RTPI accredited degree or master’s
*A track record in private consultancy, taking applications through to determination
*Confident managing your own caseload and dealing directly with clients
*Strong written, analytical and communication skills, and good commercial judgement
*A full driving licence
