IntroductionAcorn by Synergie is working with a market-leading manufacturer seeking a Production Planner to join their expanding team in Merthyr Tydfil.
The role will be fully site based, working for a rewarding and reliable employer.


What We Offer*Salary up to £40,000, depending on experience.

*Monday to Friday.

*40 hours per week.



Key Duties*Develop and manage capacity planning activities in collaboration with the Production Scheduler, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources and alignment with maintenance cycles.

*Plan and manage material demand and stock control through the ERP/MRP system in line with customer requirements.

*Ensure capacity planning is fully integrated within ERP/MRP systems to optimise delivery performance, efficiency and cost.

*Manage and maintain data accuracy within the ERP system (IFS), including actioning MRP messages and resolving stock-related queries.

*Load projects into the system following design release, including Master Part setup and validation of key data fields.



Requirements*Strong experience in production or factory planning roles is essential.

*Advanced knowledge with proven experience using ERP/MRP systems and planning processes.

*Understanding of capacity planning, inventory management and production flow.

*Experience within a manufacturing engineering environment is ideal but not essential.

*Strong IT skills, including Excel and ERP systems.
