Exeter
Full ownership of a varied private client portfolio, in one of the South West’s fastest growing cities. A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Exeter is looking for a CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified Private Client Tax Manager.
The portfolio spans high net worth individuals, trusts and estates across a broad range of complexity, with advisory work alongside compliance. The firm has a strong regional reputation for its private client work, a collegiate culture, and a clear pathway to Senior Manager. What’s the day to day of the role:
*Managing a portfolio of private clients including HNW individuals, trusts and estates
*Advising across income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax
*Reviewing self assessment tax returns and overseeing the compliance process
*Acting as a key point of contact and building trusted client relationships
*Mentoring junior members of the tax team
*Liaising with HMRC on client matters including enquiries and investigations
Required skills and qualifications:
*CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong private client tax background
*At least five years’ experience within a UK Practice environment
*Proven experience managing a portfolio of HNW private clients
*Strong knowledge of UK personal tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and trusts
*Confident client facing manner, organised and able to manage competing deadlines
