This is an opportunity for an ambitious English specialist to take ownership of a department, influence teaching and learning, and help shape the future of English within a diverse and vibrant secondary school in Bradford.
The school is well led, has clear direction from senior leadership, and is committed to continuous improvement. Like many inner-city schools, there are behavioural challenges, but you’ll have the backing of a supportive leadership team and colleagues who are committed to getting the best from every student.
We’re looking for a leader who can inspire staff, drive standards, and create a culture where students engage with English and achieve beyond expectations.
What you’ll be doing:*Leading and developing the English department
*Driving improvements in teaching, learning and achievement
*Coaching and supporting colleagues
*Developing an engaging and ambitious curriculum
*Maintaining a clear vision and high expectations for all learners
You’ll be:*An outstanding classroom practitioner
*An existing middle leader or an ambitious teacher ready for the next step
*Resilient, positive and solutions-focused
*Passionate about improving outcomes for young people
