Client Details
Our client is a well established accountancy practice based near Chatham. They have been running for many years and they have a stellar reputation in the market.
Description
*Manage a portfolio of audit clients, leading engagements from initial planning through to successful completion.
*Deliver audits efficiently and on schedule, ensuring compliance with relevant auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and firm policies.
*Lead audit planning and completion meetings, while developing and empowering senior team members to assume greater responsibility.
*Serve as the primary client contact, building and maintaining strong, long-term professional relationships.
*Identify and escalate technical and commercial matters to the Responsible Individual (RI), recommending practical and effective solutions where appropriate.
*Oversee audit resource allocation, proactively highlighting resourcing requirements and potential challenges to the RI.
*Provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to audit team members throughout the audit lifecycle.
*Review audit files and working papers to a consistently high standard prior to RI review.
*Review statutory financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and disclosure requirements.
*Coach, mentor, and support the professional development of team members, delivering training and driving continuous improvement across the audit function.
Profile
A successful Audit Manager should have:


*A professional qualification in accounting, such as ACA or ACCA.
*Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and practices.
*Experience managing audit projects and leading teams.
*Excellent communication and client management skills.
*An analytical mindset with attention to detail.
*Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
