Full job descriptionElevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading manufacturing business in Ilkeston to recruit a Maintenance Engineer (open to Electrically or Mechanically biased)
Location: Ilkeston
Salary: £50,500
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (days and nights)
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting cutting-edge automation and production systems.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting and improving a wide range of manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer
*Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
*Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on automated production lines.
*Perform PLC fault finding and support automation systems.
*Maintain motor control systems, drives and electrical distribution equipment.
*Support robotic systems and automated machinery.
*Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to maximise plant performance.
*Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime.
About You
To be successful in this Maintenance Engineer position, you will possess:
*Level 3 or above in Electrical OR Mechanical Engineering
*Proven experience as an Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
*Versatile individual with strong electrical or mechanical expertise and the ability to fault-find across complex automated production machinery.
*Experience with motor controls, inverters and automation systems.
*A flexible and hands-on approach to maintenance engineering.
*Excellent problem-solving and fault-diagnosis abilities.
