An established and growing engineering consultancy is looking for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join their London team.
This is a senior opportunity for an experienced geotechnical engineer looking to take on greater technical responsibility, lead projects and support the development of junior engineers.
The role:
*Lead and manage a range of geotechnical projects from investigation through to design and delivery.
*Provide technical input across foundations, retaining structures, ground improvement and earthworks.
*Review and interpret ground investigation data and produce technical reports.
*Undertake and review geotechnical calculations and design work.
*Liaise with clients, contractors and other design disciplines.
*Support and mentor junior and graduate engineers.
*Contribute to bids, fee proposals and business development.
*Take responsibility for the technical quality and delivery of projects.
About you:
*Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject.
*Significant experience working within a geotechnical consultancy.
*Strong technical knowledge across geotechnical design and ground investigation.
*Experience managing projects and providing technical leadership.
*Chartered or working towards Chartered status.
*Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
