A welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Woking is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join their successful department on a maternity cover contract from November 2026 until April 2027.

The Role
*Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4.
*Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
*Assess, monitor and support student progress.
*Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
*Work collaboratively with an experienced and supportive English Department.
*Contribute to the wider life of the school.
The Ideal Candidate
*Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
*Has experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
*Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
*Is passionate about inspiring a love of English and literature.
*Has high expectations of student achievement and attainment.
*Can build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
