Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established manufacturing business in Sheffield who are looking to appoint a Production Engineer to drive improvements across their manufacturing operation.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys being close to the shop floor and making tangible improvements to the way products are manufactured.
You’ll play a key role in improving manufacturing performance, working alongside production and engineering teams to make processes more efficient, reliable and capable of supporting future growth.
The role will involve:
*Identifying and delivering improvements across production processes and workflow
*Supporting the introduction of new products and manufacturing methods
*Developing practical solutions around tooling, fixtures and equipment
*Using production performance information to identify and tackle recurring issues
*Helping improve productivity, quality, safety and process reliability
*Taking ownership of engineering changes and ensuring improvements are embedded
*Supporting equipment upgrades, installations and improvement projects
*Working cross-functionally with production, engineering and supply chain teams
*Introducing more effective ways of using manufacturing data and technology
*Delivering projects ranging from quick shop-floor improvements through to larger investment initiatives
What you’ll bring as the Production Engineer:
We’re looking for someone with a solid background in manufacturing engineering, ideally with experience in a production environment where you’ve been able to make a visible impact.
You’ll ideally have:
*5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering environment
*Good working knowledge of CAD
*A track record of improving manufacturing processes and implementing change
*Strong practical problem-solving skills and the confidence to work directly with production teams
*An engineering qualification such as HNC/HND or Degree would be advantageous
*Lean, Six Sigma or similar improvement experience would be a bonus
