A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to add a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to their London team.
This is a varied role working across a range of projects, with the opportunity to take on more responsibility and progress your career within a strong technical team.
The Role:
*Manage geotechnical projects from investigation through to design and construction
*Undertake geotechnical design for foundations, retaining walls, basements, slopes and earthworks
*Review ground investigation information and produce technical reports
*Complete geotechnical calculations and analysis
*Work closely with clients, contractors and other design disciplines
*Provide technical support to junior engineers
*Attend site visits and provide technical input during construction
*Support tenders, proposals and client meetings
The Candidate:
*Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or a related subject
*Strong experience within geotechnical consultancy
*Previous geotechnical design experience
*Good understanding of UK ground conditions and relevant standards
*Experience with PLAXIS, WALLAP or similar software would be beneficial
*Chartered or working towards chartership is desirable
*Good communication skills and the ability to manage projects independently
