Full job description 3-Month Block Booking Contracts: Work & Live in the Scottish Islands!
Looking for guaranteed high hours, excellent pay, and an incredible change of scenery? We’re recruiting Care Home and Community Care at Home Support Workers for 3-month placements across Scotland’s most beautiful island locations!
Open to candidates anywhere in the UK willing to travel for the placement!
Locations & Rate*Islands: Shetland, Orkney, Western Isles, or Argyll & Bute

*Pay Rate: £23/hr (Flat Rate - Umbrella)

Schedule & Commitment*Contract: 3-month minimum

*Hours: 45+ hours per week (5-6 days/week)

Choose Your RoleOption 1: Care Home Support Worker
*Role: Provide high-quality residential care for older adults.

*Shifts: Long days (07:00-22:00), split shifts (07:00-15:00), or night shifts (22:00-07:00).

*Driving: Driving license preferred (helps with travel from accommodation to service).

*Experience: Care home experience preferred.

Option 2: Community Support Worker (Care at Home)
*Role: Conduct multiple daily home visits to support adults in their own residences.

*Shifts: Varied coverage between 07:00-23:00.

*Driving: Valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle are mandatory(UK license required for Orkney).

*Experience: Home care experience preferred.

Essential Criteria (All Candidates)*Minimum 1 year of UK care experience supporting older adults.

*Competent in personal care, medication administration, and safe moving & handling.

*Confident working independently (lone working).

*Prior experience in island or remote settings is a strong advantage.

*Note: Female support workers are currently preferred due to service user preferences, though male candidates may be considered depending on placement.
