Full job descriptionAs the Accountant with our client in Wigan, you’ll handle the day-to-day financial operations within the Manufacturing industry, ensuring smooth and accurate financial reporting. This role plays a key part in supporting the business by managing budgets, analysing financial data, and providing insights to aid decision-making.

Description
*Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
*Monitor budgets and provide variance analysis to support decision-making.
*Produce financial forecasts and reports to assist in strategic planning.
*Collaborate with other departments to support financial performance and cost control.
*Oversee month-end and year-end processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
*Assist in audits by preparing relevant documentation and responding to queries.
*Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions where appropriate.
*Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks.
Profile
A successful Senior Management Accountant should have:
*Professional qualifications in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience in the field.
*Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, with attention to detail.
*Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
*Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
*A proactive approach to identifying and solving financial issues.
Job Offer
*Salary ranging from £34,000 to £40,000, dependent on the level of experience.
*Hybrid working available after six months (three days in the office, two days from home).
*24 days of annual leave plus your birthday off.
*Working hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday, with a early finish on Fridays.
*Free parking and access to an on-site canteen.
