Full job descriptionCredit ControllerAbout the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity to join a busy credit control team within an established organisation. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customers, ensuring outstanding debts are chased effectively while maintaining strong relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders.
Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, you will play an important role in achieving individual and team targets, whilst also supporting the continuous improvement of credit control processes and administration.
Key Responsibilities*Manage end-to-end credit control activity across an allocated sales ledger, using telephone, email and written correspondence.
*Work within agreed credit control processes to achieve individual and team collection targets.
*Liaise with the invoicing team and regional managers to resolve queries and disputes that could delay payment.
*Accurately record credit control and customer information using SAGE.
*Issue final demand notices where required.
*Produce monthly reporting for regional teams and the Credit Control Manager, including debtor levels and overdue accounts.
*Prepare relevant documentation for escalation to the in-house legal team where required.
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and account information.
About YouWe are looking for an experienced Credit Controller who is confident communicating with customers, organised in their approach and comfortable working in a high-volume environment.
You will ideally have:
*2-3 years’ experience working in a credit control role.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with customers and colleagues.
*A proactive and solutions-focused approach to resolving issues.
*Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
*The ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
*Strong attention to detail, with good numerical and reconciliation skills.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
*Previous experience using SAGE or similar accounting software.
