Description
*Deliver the corporate plan on time and to budget
*Create and build effective relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders.
*Be accountable for delivering the MTFS plan
*Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
*Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
*Lead initiatives to improve financial efficiency and sustainability.
*Collaborate with various departments like councillors and other boroughs.
*Manage and develop the finance team - 4 reports.
Profile
A successful Head of Financial Strategy will have:
*Proven Head of Finance experience in financial planning and strategy within Local Government.
*Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
*Expertise in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
*Excellent leadership and team management skills.
*Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
*Relevant professional qualifications in accounting or finance.
Job Offer
*Daily rate of £650 - £800, dependent on the level of experience.
*Temporary role based in London.
