Full job descriptionA professional services business is seeking a Finance Manager for 3-6 months. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function within a small team. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across both operational and commercial finance.

Key responsibilities
*Lead the month-end close and prepare monthly management accounts.

*Oversee reconciliations, financial controls and day-to-day finance operations.

*Support budgeting, forecasting, cashflow and financial analysis.

*Prepare VAT and other relevant returns and support year-end and audit activities.

*Provide clear financial insight and business partnering support to senior stakeholders.

*Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and controls.



You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong experience in management accounts, month-end reporting and financial controls.
You will be:
*Hands-on, proactive and commercially minded.

*Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

*Confident analysing financial information and explaining it to non-finance colleagues.

*Comfortable working independently within a small team.

*A strong communicator with a collaborative approach.
