The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Town Planner to join an established and respected planning consultancy based in Kent.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planner looking to develop their career within a supportive consultancy environment, gaining exposure to a broad range of planning projects and working closely with clients, developers and local planning authorities.
Requirements
*Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline
*Previous experience within a planning consultancy or local authority
*Good understanding of the UK planning system and relevant planning policy
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
*Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
*Ideally working towards or interested in achieving MRTPI status
*Full UK driving licence would be advantageous
Responsibilities
*Preparing and submitting planning applications
*Providing planning advice to clients
*Undertaking planning appraisals and research
*Assisting with planning strategies and development proposals
*Liaising with local planning authorities and other stakeholders
*Supporting senior planners on larger and more complex projects
*Monitoring planning applications and providing clients with regular updates
*Assisting with appeals and other planning matters where required
*Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
