Job summaryWe have an exciting opportunity within the Durham Resilience Team for a Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner (MHWBP).
The County Durham Resilience Team is a multi-agency partnership providing accessible wellbeing and mental health support to individuals and families across County Durham. Working as part of the County Durham Community Mental Health Transformation Programme, we are committed to delivering person-centred, recovery-focused support within local communities.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner to join the team and deliver psychologically informed wellbeing interventions to people experiencing mental health difficulties. Working alongside service users, carers, partner organisations and multidisciplinary colleagues, you will support individuals to improve their wellbeing, achieve personal goals and maintain recovery.
The successful candidate will have either a graduate certificate (Level 6) or postgraduate certificate (Level 7) delivering the national curriculum for Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (Adult Specialist Mental Health).
Main duties of the jobAs a Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner, you will work under supervision of an Applied Psychologist as part of a dynamic integrated mental health team alongside our Pioneering Care Partnership colleagues. You will be delivering psychologically informed interventions and supporting adults to receive the right care through care planning, including group work as directed by the wider team.
We work as part of a wider collaborative with the Pioneering Care Partnership delivering high quality care and support as early as possible to those who need it, making a definite shift form treatment to prevention.
We are committed to co-creating safe and personalised care that improves the lives of people by involving them as equal partners. The most important way we will get there is by living our values, all of the time.
Psychological Professions staff will be expected to display the Trust values at all times, working as part of the collective team with shared accountability and responsibility for ensuring the safety and effectiveness of patient care is delivered in a patient centred manner. They will also contribute to ensuring the culture of our services is built upon the Trust Values and the trust’s strategy - Our Journey To change (OJTC).
We are committed to developing a team that is fully representative of the communities that we serve, and especially welcome applications from individuals with protected characteristics that are currently under-represented in our workforce.
About usWe are the Mental Health & Learning Disability NHS Trust for County Durham and Darlington, Teesside, North Yorkshire, York and Selby.
From education and prevention, to crisis and specialist care --our talented and compassionate teams work in partnership with our patients, communities and partners to help the people of our region feel safe, understood, believed in and cared for.
We nurture the recovery journey of anyone in need of our help. In Our Trust, everyone has a say in how they are supported and treated because we listen to every person in our care until they feel understood. Our patients, their families and carers work together with us towards better mental health.
We’re committed to new thinking that improves the wellbeing of our region. We connect with our communities and partners to get mental health care right, in areas that really need it.
We won’t rest until everyone in our region has the mental health care they need, to lead their best possible life.
