Job summaryWe are looking to recruit a band 6 Clinical Lead on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave on our MHSOP ward at Wold View, Foss Park.
Wold View is an 18 bedded mixed *** assessment and treatment ward for older people with organic mental health needs . The ward actively encourages development & training opportunities and encourage the role within this progressing team on the delivery of Patient Centred Care, support for carers and evidence based practice, working in a whole systems approach with our partner agencies.
Being a Registered Nurse with our Trust means developing your skills as a professional nurse in a friendly and forward-thinking environment.

This role may be eligible for sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route. However, sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements, therefore, we recommend that you assess your eligibility before applying for this position.

Main duties of the jobAs the Clinical Lead you would be expected to have excellent leadership and organisational skills, work closely with a variety of different professional teams across North Yorkshire and the wider organisation, develop and mentor staff within your team and work alongside the Ward Manager ensuring that the ward continues to provide the highest standards of care. We will support you by offering regular supervision, training opportunities and encourage your development and role within this developing team on the delivery of Patient Centred Care, support for carers and evidence based practice.
Candidates must have 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework (at the point of application)

*Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
*Recognised Practice Supervisor and/or Practice Assessor, clinical educator or equivalent. Must be achieved within 6 months
*Trained in Clinical Supervision and providing clinical supervision OR willingness to work towards within 6 months
ExperienceEssential*18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework (at the point of application)
*Working collaboratively with service users and their families/carers.
*Providing clinical supervision to individuals or groups as professionally appropriate.
*Supervising or assessing students on practice placement.
*Working in a multi-disciplinary team.
*Quality improvement activities.
KnowledgeEssential*Demonstrable knowledge to post-graduate level of evidence based practice in caring for patients in the designated field
*Understanding of relevant legislation (e.g. Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act).
