Group Finance Controller
Chester | Hybrid Working (3 days in the office) | Temp to Perm | £70,000 - £75,000
Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a successful and growing Chester-based business in the appointment of a Group Finance Controller on a temp-to-perm basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a dynamic organisation at a key stage of its growth journey. Working closely with the Group Finance Director, you’ll take ownership of the finance function, lead a capable team and play a key role in improving controls, reporting and commercial decision-making across the group.
The Role
As Group Finance Controller, you will:
*Lead and develop the finance team across the business
*Take ownership of monthly management accounts and group reporting
*Ensure robust financial controls, compliance and governance
*Manage cashflow, forecasting and budgeting processes
*Partner with operational stakeholders across the organisation
*Drive improvements to financial systems, processes and reporting
*Support strategic projects and business growth initiatives
*Act as a key deputy to the Group Finance Director

About You
We’re looking for:
*ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant
*Previous experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role
*Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
*Proven experience managing and developing finance teams
*Commercially minded with excellent stakeholder management skills
*Available at short notice or immediately available
