Prospero Teaching is looking for Teaching Assistants to work across Secondary schools in Warrington.
We have a range of opportunities available, from flexible day-to-day supply to longer-term placements. You’ll support pupils in the classroom, in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, helping them engage with learning and make progress.
Strong behaviour management skills are essential.
The Role*Location: Various locations across Warrington
*Position: Secondary Teaching Assistant
*Type of work: Classroom, small group and 1:1 pupil support, assisting the class teacher
*Start date: ASAP
*Duration: Day-to-day bookings with potential for longer-term placements, depending on school requirements
*End date: N/A
*Contract type: Temporary
*Full-time/Part-time: Both available, depending on school requirements
*Minimum pay: £92.50 per day, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
*Hours: Typically 8:30am-3:15pm for a full day. Half-day and individual lesson cover may also be available. Times can vary between schools.
Experience, Training & Qualifications*Teaching Assistant or teaching-related qualifications are desirable but not essential, including qualifications gained overseas
*SEN/SEMH awareness is beneficial
*Previous experience working in a UK school, ideally at least 6 months
*Safeguarding training completed within the last year is desirable, but not essential as training can be provided
To Be Eligible Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:*Hold the Right to Work in the UK
*Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online Update Service, or be willing to process a new application
*Provide two professional references covering the last two years, notwithstanding any appropriate child-related work experience
*Provide an appropriate CV history
*Register with Prospero Teaching and pass all required safeguarding and vetting checks
