Hours: 37 hours per week
Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff and the SEND/Inclusion team to support the student’s academic progress, confidence, independence and inclusion within school life. The original specification specifically asks for experience supporting autistic pupils on a 1:1 basis, sensory needs and SEND across primary/secondary ages. LSA (linked to a named student …
The RoleYou will:
*Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
*Follow and support targets within the student’s EHCP
*Support learning across lessons and adapt resources where required
*Help the student develop greater independence and confidence
*Support pupils with Autism and sensory needs
*Use appropriate behaviour and engagement strategies
*Deliver targeted interventions when required
*Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching and SEND staff
*Support the student’s inclusion socially and academically
