Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days WFH
Client Details
As Credit Control Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day credit control operation, ensuring outstanding debts are managed effectively and customer accounts are kept within agreed terms.
You’ll lead and support a team of credit controllers, monitor performance and work closely with internal departments and customers to resolve queries and minimise overdue debt.
Description
The key responsibilities of a Credit Control Team Leader:
*Leading, motivating and developing the credit control team
*Managing the day-to-day credit control function
*Monitoring aged debt and ensuring outstanding balances are actively pursued
*Setting and monitoring team KPIs and performance targets
*Reviewing customer accounts and credit limits
*Handling escalated customer queries and complex debt issues
*Working closely with sales, finance and other departments to resolve account queries
*Producing regular aged debt and performance reports
*Identifying opportunities to improve credit control processes and procedures
*Supporting cash collection and maintaining strong cash flow
*Ensuring appropriate credit control procedures and controls are followed
*Providing regular updates and reporting to senior management
Profile
A successful Credit Control Team Leader will have:
*Previous experience in credit control, ideally at a senior or supervisory level - essential
*Experience managing, mentoring or developing a team
*Strong knowledge of credit control and debt collection processes
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills
*A confident and professional approach when dealing with customers
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*The ability to analyse aged debt and identify areas requiring action
*Good Excel skills
*A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider finance team
