Full job descriptionElevation Recruitment Group are working with a household name - a multi brand business with a strong customer focus, to appoint a Group Application Development Manager.
This is a chance to lead the software development function at the heart of a large, well invested group. You’ll head up a talented in-house team, act as the main link between the business and technology, and shape how software gets delivered across the Group. The role carries real influence: you’ll set priorities, improve ways of working and help shape the wider Application Development & Test strategy.
What you’ll be doing
*Leading, coaching and developing the Group Software Development team
*Delivering the Application Development & Test roadmap, including projects, enhancements, fixes and BAU work
*Managing demand, priorities and stakeholder relationships across the Group
*Running backlogs, sprints, capacity and resource planning
*Simplifying processes, standardising ways of working and lifting team efficiency
*Making sure development standards meet best practice, security and governance requirements
*Setting KPIs and reporting on delivery, capacity and risk
*Managing third-party suppliers and service delivery
What you’ll bring
*3 to 5 years’ experience leading software development or IT teams, ideally in retail or another fast-paced consumer business
*A strong grasp of software delivery, workflow management and balancing competing priorities
*Experience managing budgets, resources and supplier relationships
*Confident stakeholder management at all levels
*A track record of continuous improvement and developing people
*A degree in Computing or IT, or equivalent industry experience
