Full job descriptionCatering Assistant - Warrington WA5Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming school in Warrington (WA5) for a Catering Assistant to join their team on an immediate start basis.
Location: Warrington, WA5
Hours: 11:15am - 2:15pm
Start: Immediate
Role: Catering Assistant
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in catering, hospitality, or a school kitchen who is looking for a rewarding role working within an education setting.
The RoleAs a Catering Assistant, you will support the school kitchen team with the day-to-day preparation and service of meals, helping to ensure a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments
*Supporting the kitchen team with general food preparation
*Setting up and clearing dining areas
*Washing up and maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
*Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures
*Supporting with stock rotation and kitchen organisation
*Providing a friendly and professional service to pupils and staff
*Working effectively as part of a busy catering team
The Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will ideally have:
*Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, kitchen or similar role
*A good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety -Level 2 preferred
*A positive and reliable attitude
*Good communication and teamwork skills
*The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
*A friendly and approachable manner when working with pupils and staff
*A valid DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Tradewind Recruitment
School or education-based catering experience is desirable but not essential.
