We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in Ipswich. This role is crucial for providing tailored support to students with special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Day-to-day of the role:*Provide one-to-one support to students with various special educational needs, including those with physical disabilities, learning difficulties, and emotional challenges.
*Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
*Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote students’ educational and social development.
*Adapt learning materials to suit the needs of students and assist them in accessing the curriculum.
*Monitor and support the progress and well-being of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
*Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a calm and safe learning environment.
*Support the inclusion of SEN students in all school activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:*Previous experience working with children, particularly in an SEN setting.
*Understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
*Patience, empathy, and a resilient attitude.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the guidance of a lead teacher.
