Job Description:
Full job descriptionYou might already manage a paraplanning team. Or you might be the person who trains the new starters, answers the difficult questions, checks the work and helps everyone else when their workload gets out of hand.
Either way, you’re probably spending less time thinking about your own performance and more time thinking about everyone else’s.
That’s what this job is about. You’ll take responsibility for an established paraplanning team within one of the UK’s largest independent financial planning businesses. 200+ Advisers. 750+ employees.
So there’s enough scale to make this interesting.
You’ll manage workflow and SLAs, but you won’t spend your days staring at spreadsheets.
You’ll coach people.
Develop them.
Improve standards.
Deal with problems.
Look at why something isn’t working rather than simply accepting that it’s always been done that way.
And make sure the Advisers your team supports get consistently good work, on time.
You’ll need to understand financial planning properly.
That means you’ll be diploma qualified and comfortable with the research and report-writing process within an IFA environment.
But your current job title is less important.
You might be a:
*Paraplanning Manager
*Paraplanning Team Leader
*Senior Paraplanner
*Technical Manager
*Operations Manager
*Compliance Manager
If you understand the advice process and you’ve successfully managed, coached or developed people, there’s potentially a conversation to be had.
You’ll be joining a leading National wealth management firm at its Midlands head office, with hybrid working available.
There’s a competitive salary, annual bonus, pension, death-in-service cover, MediCash, flexible holiday options and ongoing professional development.
But you’re unlikely to change jobs for a shopping discount. You’ll change because you want more responsibility, more influence and the opportunity to build a genuinely high-performing team.
If that’s what you’re looking for next, apply to find out more.
