Full job descriptionAs a VAT Manager in Maidstone, you’ll focus on managing VAT compliance and advisory work. This role is essential for ensuring clients meet their VAT obligations while providing strategic tax advice to support their business goals.

Our client is a large accountancy practice based near to Maidstone. They have a well established VAT department and this role will play a key part in further developing their VAT client portfolio.
Description
*Provide VAT advisory services to clients, offering tailored solutions to complex tax issues.
*Manage VAT compliance processes, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
*Work closely with clients to identify VAT planning opportunities.
*Keep up-to-date with VAT legislation and advise on relevant changes.
*Review and oversee VAT returns prepared by junior team members.
*Collaborate with other departments to provide integrated tax solutions.
*Support clients during VAT inspections or audits.
*Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
Profile
A successful VAT Manager should have:
*Strong knowledge of VAT legislation and its application in the UK.
*Experience in managing VAT compliance and advisory projects.
*Excellent communication skills to explain complex VAT issues clearly.
*The ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
*A professional qualification in tax or accountancy, such as CTA or ACA.
Job Offer
*Salary ranging from £60,000 to £70,000, dependent on the level of experience.
*Permanent position based near Maidstone.
