Are you passionate about sustainability, environmental compliance, and responsible sourcing?
Casanovas Recruitment looking for an experienced Environmental Compliance Manager to play a key role in driving environmental best practice across a well-established and growing organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape compliance strategy, influence business decisions, and work closely with suppliers, customers, and senior leadership teams.
This role offers the chance to make a real impact by ensuring products, processes, and supply chains meet environmental and regulatory requirements while supporting the business’s sustainability objectives.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead environmental compliance activities across the business.
*Manage supplier due diligence and responsible sourcing programmes.
*Oversee FSC and PEFC Chain of Custody certification processes and audits.
*Ensure compliance with relevant environmental and product regulations.
*Act as the subject matter expert for environmental legislation and certification requirements.
*Build strong relationships with suppliers, certification bodies, industry organisations, and regulatory authorities.
*Support internal and external audits and maintain accurate compliance records.
*Develop policies, procedures, and training materials to drive compliance awareness throughout the business.
*Produce reports and updates for senior management and key stakeholders.
*Monitor emerging legislation and industry developments to ensure ongoing compliance.
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience within Environmental Compliance, Sustainability, ESG, Responsible Sourcing, or a similar role.
*Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance frameworks.
*Experience managing audits, certifications, and supplier compliance programmes.
*Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
*Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
*Ability to influence and drive change across a business.
*Experience within timber, manufacturing, construction products, or supply chain environments would be advantageous.
*French language skills would be beneficial but are not essential.
