Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: The Wenlock School, Dudley, West Midlands, DY1 3SB
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Monday 8:15am - 4:30pm, Tuesday - Friday 8:15am - 3:45pm
Salary: £22,160.62 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: November 2026

What You’ll Be Doing
*Supporting students with their learning, emotional wellbeing, and personal development.
*Building trusted relationships that help students feel safe, valued, and confident.
*Working alongside teachers to deliver engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
*Encouraging independence, resilience, and positive behaviour.
*Delivering targeted support and interventions to help students overcome barriers to learning.
*Creating a nurturing environment where every student can achieve their potential.
What We’re Looking For
*GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent required.
*Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a SEND, care, education, or support setting.
*Is patient, resilient, and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
*Can build positive relationships and inspire confidence in young people.
*Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
*Is passionate about making a genuine difference to students’ lives every day.
