Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting an experienced SEN Teacher to support a specialist school in Hillingdon, working with a mixed lower Key Stage 2 class.
The school is looking for a teacher who can provide high-quality teaching and support within a new class of approximately 15 pupils, working alongside a small team of LSAs.
This role is initially offered on a daily/weekly supply basis, allowing the school and successful candidate to establish a working relationship before considering any longer-term arrangement.
The RoleAs an SEN Teacher, you will:
*Teach a mixed lower KS2 class of approximately 15 pupils.
*Plan and deliver engaging and appropriately differentiated lessons.
*Adapt teaching and learning to meet a range of SEN needs.
*Work closely with the LSAs supporting the class.
*Establish positive and consistent relationships with pupils.
*Promote positive behaviour, engagement and participation in learning.
*Maintain a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment.
*Work collaboratively with the wider school team.
The Ideal CandidateThe school is looking for an experienced teacher who has:
*QTS or recognised teaching qualification.
*Previous experience teaching pupils with special educational needs.
*Experience working within a primary or specialist setting.
*A good understanding of differentiation and personalised learning.
*Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills.
*A calm, patient and nurturing approach.
*The ability to work effectively as part of a wider support team.
SEN or specialist-school experience is highly desirable.
