Prospero Teaching are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join specialist settings across Swindon and Devizes. We are looking for passionate teachers who are committed to supporting pupils with additional needs and creating a positive, engaging and nurturing learning environment.
The RoleAs an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs, abilities and EHCP outcomes of each pupil. You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, pastoral teams and other professionals to support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
The roles may involve supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, SEMH, ADHD, complex needs, challenging behaviour, SLD, MLD and communication difficulties.
Key Responsibilities*Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
*Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual pupil needs.
*Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
*Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
*Manage behaviour using positive and consistent strategies.
*Monitor, assess and record pupil progress.
*Work closely with Teaching Assistants and wider support teams.
*Contribute to EHCP reviews and individual learning plans.
*Create a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
