Aspire People are recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to support a range of primary schools.
This is specifically for candidates who have practical experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a UK school during the last 2 years.
IMPORTANT: Candidates must have recent UK school-based experience within the last 2 years. Applications without relevant recent school experience will not be considered.
The Role:
* Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 and small-group basis
* Assisting teachers with learning activities
* Supporting Maths, English, reading and phonics
* Helping pupils access the curriculum
* Supporting children with SEND and additional needs
* Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom routines
* Supporting interventions and targeted activities
* Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
* Working closely with teachers and wider support staff
* Monitoring and feeding back on pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate:
* Recent practical UK school experience within the last 2 years
* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant
* Confident supporting primary-aged children
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Patient, reliable and adaptable
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Strong understanding of safeguarding
* Passionate about supporting children’s learning
