Are you a Graduate Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer looking to begin your career in flood risk, drainage design and sustainable water management? This opportunity offers practical project experience alongside an established team of engineers.
The Graduate Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer will support development projects involving Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies and SuDS, gaining experience across the planning and design process.
The Graduate Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer role will include:
* Assisting with Flood Risk Assessments for planning applications
* Supporting surface water and foul drainage strategies
* Contributing to Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) design
* Assisting with hydrological and hydraulic assessments
* Preparing calculations, drawings and technical reports
* Working alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams
The Graduate Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer should have:
* A degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geography or a related discipline
* An interest in flood risk, drainage and water management
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills
* Clear written and verbal communication
* An interest in developing technical design and modelling skills
* A willingness to learn and work collaboratively
Knowledge of AutoCAD, drainage software or hydraulic modelling would be advantageous, but previous commercial experience is not essential.
The Graduate Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer position offers £27,500 - £30,000, hybrid working, practical training and support towards professional chartership.
