This is an excellent opportunity to join an established independent transport planning and infrastructure consultancy who provide multidisciplined services to high-profile projects across the UK. They are on the lookout for a Senior Level Transport Planner looking to progress to a Principal level to join their Bristol offices.

Duties for the role of Senior | Principal Transport Planner:
*Leading transport planning commissions from inception through to completion
*Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans and other transport-related technical reports
*Providing strategic transport planning advice to clients and project teams
*Developing transport strategies for a range of development proposals and land uses
*Liaising with clients, local planning authorities, highway authorities and other stakeholders
*Supporting and leading discussions with planning and highway officers to achieve positive outcomes
*Providing technical input into planning applications, appeals and, where appropriate, public inquiries
*Managing project programmes, budgets and resources
*Preparing fee proposals and contributing to business development opportunities
Requirements for the role of Senior | Principal Transport Planner:
*Relevant degree within Transport Planning or another related discipline
*Chartered status or working towards chartership
*Significant experience within a transport planning consultancy or similar environment
*A strong understanding of the UK planning and development process
*Experience preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and/or Travel Plans
*Experience dealing with local highway authorities and planning authorities
*The ability to manage projects and communicate confidently with clients and stakeholders
*Strong report writing and analytical skills
*Commercial awareness and an understanding of project budgets and fee management
*The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team
*Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues would be advantageous
