Remedy Education is recruiting an experienced School Business Manager to join a specialist Secondary school in Plaistow, Newham.
We are looking for a confident, organised and hands-on professional with extensive experience in school premises management, health & safety and operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
*Oversee school premises, facilities and day-to-day operations.
*Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and safeguarding procedures.
*Manage risk assessments, fire safety, maintenance and statutory inspections.
*Coordinate contractors, repairs and site improvements.
*Support school budgets, procurement and operational planning.
*Maintain a safe, secure and well-managed environment for pupils and staff.
Requirements:
*Strong experience in school business or premises management.
*Excellent knowledge of health & safety regulations.
*Experience managing contractors, facilities and compliance.
*Confident working within a challenging or specialist educational setting.
*SEMH or SEN school experience highly desirable.
*Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
This role requires someone proactive, experienced and confident taking ownership of school operations.
