Burnley
Up to £65,000pa
A large manufacturing organisation based in Burnley are seeking a new permanent Finance Manager to join their team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and responsible for the management of a small team, with future development and progression available, this position is a great opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to make a real impact on an exciting business that is constantly looking at ways to evolve.
Key Responsibilities:
*Leading the yearly budgeting and reforecasting process
*Lead on month end, reviewing monthly balance sheet, P&L review and looking at variance analysis
*Lead year end process, including statutory accounts preparation
*Liaising closely with Head Office to produce monthly, quarterly and yearly reports working towards SLA’s
*Detailed margin analysis review, providing detailed interpretations and commentary, evaluating business profitability by customer, platform, product and process
*Business partnering with operations, commercial and other departments within the business, generating a clear link between business decisions and profitability
*Maintain an develop costing systems
*Manage and drive cost saving strategies
*Manage and report on all treasury activities, liaison with banks, building cost efficient methods of borrowing with head office
*Ensure all tax compliance requirements are met and adhered to
*Management of the team, including continuously developing their skillset and upskilling the team to keep the department running smoothly
*Process improvement and looking at more efficient ways of working
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and attributes:
*A previous track record of managing high performing and efficient finance teams
*CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA qualified
*Excellent computer literacy, particularly with excel
*Methodical approach to work, with excellent analytical and numerical abilities
*A team player, with a "can-do" attitude and the ability to use their initiative
*Experience within a manufacturing organisation
*Able to work to deadlines
