Full job descriptionFinance Manager / Practice Accountant | Central London Robert Half is delighted to be partnering with a leading award-winning architectural practice to recruit a Finance Manager / Practice Accountant.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on finance professional looking for a broad role with genuine ownership across the entire finance function. Working closely with the Principals, you’ll play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making, improving financial processes, and driving commercial insight across the business.
The OpportunityYou’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the finance function whilst providing detailed management information, budgeting support and commercial analysis to help drive business performance.
This is a varied position that offers exposure to all aspects of finance, including:
*Production of monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasts and financial reporting
*Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
*Revenue recognition and project accounting
*Payroll, VAT, pensions and statutory compliance
*Sales ledger, purchase ledger and credit control
*Business partnering with senior stakeholders
*Financial planning and commercial analysis
*Managing audits and year-end processes
*Supporting systems improvements, automation and AI-driven reporting initiatives
About YouWe’re keen to speak with individuals who possess:
*ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (QBE candidates will also be considered)
*Strong management accounting experience
*Previous experience working within an SME environment
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
*Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
*Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems
*A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
Nice to Have*Experience within architecture, construction, engineering or project-based businesses
*Exposure to project accounting and revenue recognition
*Experience working with Xero or project accounting systems
