£60,000 - £70,000, with potential flexibility

We’re recruiting a Head of Procurement for a rapidly growing, private equity backed, multi-site organisation, taking ownership of procurement, supply chain, warehousing and distribution.

Reporting to the CFO, you’ll lead supplier relationships and purchasing strategy while improving stock controls, systems and operational efficiency across the business.

This is an urgent appointment, initially offered on a 6 month contract, with the opportunity to move into a permanent role.

The role

*Lead procurement strategy across consumables, capital expenditure, services and logistics.
*Manage supplier relationships, tenders and contract negotiations, securing competitive pricing and reliable supply.
*Deliver measurable savings while maintaining quality and service levels.
*Oversee warehousing and distribution, improving stock accuracy, replenishment and delivery performance.
*Strengthen inventory planning, reducing excess stock, waste and obsolescence.
*Improve systems, reporting and automation, including stock and asset tracking.
*Lead and develop the procurement team, working closely with Finance and Operations.
*Embed effective procurement controls, ethical sourcing and sustainable purchasing practices.

About you

You’ll bring strong procurement and supply chain experience, with the ability to set strategy and stay close to day-to-day operations.
We’re open to a range of sector backgrounds, including logistics, warehousing, manufacturing and distribution. Experience supporting multi-site operations would be particularly valuable.

You’ll ideally have:

*A track record of successful supplier negotiations and delivering commercial savings.
*Experience involving warehousing, inventory management and distribution.
*Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with operational teams.
*Evidence of improving procurement processes, controls and systems.
*A practical approach to maintaining continuity of supply while improving efficiency.
