Job Description:
Full job descriptionAn opportunity has arisen for an Embedded Digital Design Engineer
to join a growing engineering team working on complex embedded
digital systems. The role covers a broad range of technologies,
from advanced DSP and image processing systems through to complex
SoC and safety-critical applications, with opportunities to
develop both technical and leadership skills.
Typical responsibilities include:
* Working across the full embedded development lifecycle, from
initial system design and functional partitioning through to
implementation, integration and testing
* Developing embedded digital systems across areas such as FPGA,
embedded software and digital hardware
* Supporting the partitioning of functions between software and
FPGA domains and modelling key performance aspects of the
resulting design
* Integrating and testing embedded systems on hardware platforms
* Working within multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver
complex solutions and contribute to continuous technical
development
The ideal candidate will have:
* A background in Digital Hardware Design, FPGA Design or
Embedded Software Design
* Experience or knowledge of embedded digital design and
modelling
* Experience integrating and testing embedded systems on hardware
platforms
* A degree or equivalent qualification in an appropriate
engineering or technical discipline
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work
collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary engineering
environment
