School Bursar - Immediate Start
A welcoming and supportive primary school in Burnley is seeking an experienced School Bursar to join their friendly team on an ongoing basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual with previous school-based finance and administration experience.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school’s financial and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
*Managing the school’s financial systems and procedures.
*Processing orders, invoices, payments and reconciliations.
*Monitoring budgets and producing financial reports.
*Supporting payroll and personnel administration.
*Managing income collection and financial records.
*Liaising with suppliers, staff, parents and external agencies.
*Supporting the Senior Leadership Team with financial planning and compliance.
*Maintaining accurate records in line with school policies and statutory requirements.
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience working as a School Bursar, Finance Officer or School Business Support role.
Strong working knowledge of:
*SIMS
*FMS
*Oracle
*ParentPay
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Knowledge of school finance procedures and education sector administration.
