Full job descriptionThe Role:
*Supporting pupils within a dedicated SEND Base across the primary phase
*Providing high-quality 1:1 and small-group support
*Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication and learning difficulties
*Delivering targeted interventions and personalised learning activities
*Supporting emotional regulation, positive behaviour and social development
*Adapting activities and learning resources to meet individual needs
*Working closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider support team
*Taking responsibility for learning activities and supporting classroom delivery in an HLTA capacity
*Promoting independence, confidence and engagement in learning
The Ideal Candidate:
*Previous experience working as an HLTA or experienced Teaching Assistant
*Strong experience supporting children with SEND
*Confident working within a SEND Base, specialist provision or mainstream setting with high SEND needs
*Knowledge of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication needs and learning difficulties
*Calm, patient and consistent approach to behaviour and emotional regulation
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils
*Relevant HLTA, Level 3 or equivalent qualification is desirable
