This client is a fast-growing UK e-commerce business in the South West.
Description
*Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with departmental managers to develop robust financial plans.
*Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and identifying key risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
*Support cash-flow forecasting and working capital analysis, ensuring forecasts accurately reflect expected business performance.
*Provide insightful financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making across the business.
*Analyse key costs, margins and profitability, identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency and strengthen commercial performance.
*Support pricing and profitability analysis, including reviewing the full product cost base, realised margins and areas of margin erosion.
*Provide analysis around capital investment, stock purchasing and financing decisions, helping optimise stock levels and cash utilisation.
*Prepare accurate and timely management reporting, highlighting key trends, performance drivers, risks and opportunities for senior management.
*Play a key Finance role in the ERP implementation, supporting UAT, data migration, reconciliation, training and ongoing system/process improvements.
*Work collaboratively across Finance and the wider business, providing cross-functional support, financial insight and process improvements to strengthen overall Finance capability.
Profile
A successful Commercial Accountant should have:
*Qualified ACCA or CIMA, or qualified by experience.
*Strong management accounting experience, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
*Commercially minded, with the ability to turn financial data into clear, practical insight.
*Confident managing stakeholders across different departments and comfortable constructively challenging where needed.
*Personable and approachable, with strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
*Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and managing competing priorities.
*Proactive and improvement-focused, with an interest in systems, processes and automation.
*Able to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
*Collaborative, adaptable and willing to support the wider Finance team when required.
Job Offer
*Salary ranging from £55,000 to £60,000, dependent on the level of experience.
