Looking for a finance role that offers more than just processing invoices?
We’re supporting a highly regarded financial services firm in their search for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing finance team. This position is ideal for someone with Accounts Payable experience who wants to build a broader accounting skillset and gain exposure to reporting, reconciliations and month-end activities.
While Accounts Payable sits at the heart of the role, you’ll also have the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of finance responsibilities, making it an excellent stepping stone for someone looking to progress their career within accounting.
Responsibilities*Managing the Accounts Payable process and ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and efficiently
*Supporting Accounts Receivable invoicing and debtor reporting
*Performing bank reconciliations
*Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
*Maintaining fixed asset records
*Producing regular financial reports
*Supporting internal and external audit requirements
About You*Previous Accounts Payable experience is essential
*Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
*Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
*Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
*Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
*Part-qualified studies are welcomed but not essential
