Job Description:
Full job descriptionWarehouse Manager plays a key role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including inventory accuracy, storage optimisation, and compliance with safety standards. The role supports the Operations Manager and contributes directly to productivity, safety, and quality standards within the warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
? Warehouse Operations Management: Oversee all goods-in and goods-out processes, coordinate with customers, suppliers, and transport companies, and ensure efficient and timely handling of stock.
? Inventory Control & Stock Accuracy: Maintain accurate stock levels, monitor sundry supplies to ensure no shortages, and update the stock management system. Provide regular inventory updates to the logistics and sales teams.
? Team Leadership & Workforce Management: Lead warehouse operatives and fork-lift drivers, manage daily briefings and staff rotas, and promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and high performance.
? Facility Organisation & Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the warehouse layout is optimised for efficiency and safety. Oversee the maintenance and replacement schedule for all warehouse equipment.
? Compliance & Site Standards: Uphold high standards of tidiness, hygiene, and safety. Ensure all activities comply with food safety, quality assurance, and security regulations for a blue-chip client base.
? Health & Safety Responsibility: Take ownership of health and safety on-site, ensuring all legal and company standards are met, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a safe working environment for all staff and visitors
? Staff Support & Administration: Assist in recruitment and onboarding, maintain accurate employee records and clocking systems, and monitor staff conduct and performance.
