A well-established hospitality venue is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead its kitchen operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on chef to take ownership of a food-led business with a loyal customer base and a popular weekend carvery service.
The Role
As Head Chef, you will oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring consistently high food standards, excellent kitchen organisation, and compliance with food safety regulations. You’ll lead a small team, manage stock and ordering, and play a key role in maintaining the venue’s reputation for quality food and service.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead and manage the kitchen operation
*Prepare and deliver high-quality food consistently
*Manage stock control and ordering
*Maintain food hygiene and health & safety standards
*Lead, support and develop kitchen staff
*Oversee busy weekend carvery services
*Control food quality, portioning and wastage
*Ensure an efficient and organised kitchen environment
Requirements
*Previous Head Chef, Senior Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager experience
*Strong leadership and organisational skills
*Experience managing stock, food safety and kitchen operations
*Ability to perform during busy service periods
*Passion for delivering high-quality food
*Able to work weekends and peak trading periods
*Own transport required due to location

*Support from Front of House staff when required
Salary & Benefits
*£17.00 per hour, with flexibility up to £18.00 per hour for the right candidate
*Approximately 50 hours per week with additional hours available
