Are you an experienced Sales Ledger professional looking for your next opportunity?
We are seeking a confident and detail-oriented Sales Ledger Assistant to join a busy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong sales ledger experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records.
You will play a key role in ensuring sales orders, invoices, and customer accounts are processed accurately and efficiently while building strong relationships with both internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
*Process weekly sales orders both manually and via CSV imports.
*Raise and process sales invoices and credit notes.
*Check timesheets and clock cards against hours sold.
*Match customer purchase orders to invoices.
*Investigate and resolve customer account discrepancies promptly.
*Maintain and reconcile the debtor ledger.
*Monitor and maintain aged debtors on a monthly basis.
*Update and manage outstanding customer sales order reports.
*Develop a strong understanding of the customer base and account requirements.
*Work closely with Sales Teams, Business Managers, and customers to ensure smooth account management.
*Support the wider finance function with ad hoc duties as required.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 3-5 years’ Sales Ledger experience

Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounting systems

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines

Proactive, self-motivated, and able to use own initiative

Positive "can-do" attitude

Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Intermediate Excel skills, including experience using spreadsheets and workbooks
