Our client is a market leading company due to a sustained period of growth they are now looking to recruit a Facilities Maintenance Engineer.
The Role
*This is a varied role where you’ll take ownership of site facilities, plant and critical services, keeping everything safe, reliable, compliant and operational.
*Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
*Fault-finding across electrical, mechanical and building-services systems.
*Maintaining site infrastructure including power, lighting, HVAC, water and drainage.
*Supporting critical site services and responding to breakdowns.
*Working with contractors and specialist service providers.
*Supporting statutory inspections, compliance and permit-to-work activities.
*Assisting with new installations, modifications and commissioning.
*Will work Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-5:00pm and Friday: 8:00am-1:00pm.
The Person
*You will ideally be time served.
*Previous experience in facilities, industrial, manufacturing or engineering maintenance.
*Strong electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience.
*Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
*Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance.
*The ability to read technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
*A strong understanding of health and safety in an engineering environment.
*A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work independently.
*Experience with HVAC, BMS, electrical distribution, compressed air, pumps, fire systems, generators/UPS, CMMS or contractor management would be advantageous.
*IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications would also be beneficial.
