Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Reed Education is excited to be recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded specialist school for a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is committed to supporting children and young people with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. The successful candidate will initially join on a temporary contract with the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful placement period.
About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to pupils with a range of learning needs, ensuring that every student is supported to achieve their full potential. Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will help create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where pupils can thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
*Develop and implement personalised learning strategies and interventions.
*Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress.
*Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, families, and external agencies.
*Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
*Contribute to EHCP reviews and target setting where appropriate.
*Support pupils in developing independence, confidence, and life skills.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
*Experience teaching children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
*A strong understanding of inclusive teaching practice and adaptive learning approaches.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
*A patient, resilient, and flexible approach.
*Experience within a specialist setting is desirable but not essential.
